Character Name: Aglaea
Canon: Honkai Star Rail
Canon History: https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Aglaea/Lore
Canon Personality: As the ‘leader’ of the Chrysos heirs, she tends to come across as aloof, untrustworthy, and scheming. And to those on the outside of the Heirs, she probably is. But, to those who know her better, she’s motherly (or a big sister type), and quite caring for the Heirs and the people of Amphoreous and Okhema. She’s focused on fulfilling the Era Nova prophecy, and does scheme a bit to get things done… look at the spy threads around the city. All in all, she does care about Amphoreous, and is willing to do what needs to be done to save it and usher in the Era Nova.
AU Name: Aglaea / Professor Jute
AU Age: 42 (Different. She’s a demigod and has lived a long life)
AU Birthday: February 5th
Faction: POKEGO
AU History: Aglaea was born in Greece, and lived there for her childhood and teens. When getting into her 20s, she moved to America to start working in the clothing industry, as making clothing was a hobby and talent she had while growing up. She opens her own boutique in a city in the US, making a good enough living. While she’s living there, she meets a silver haired boy (Phainon) who has been moving around in the foster care system the past few years. She keeps an eye on him (somewhat like Cifera in canon) until he’s forced to leave.
After Phainon is moved out of the city, she finds a note from him apologizing that he’s leaving. Unable to find any information about where he ended up, she answers a letter from a past assistant, asking her to consider joining POKEGO. They’d heard about her research into sustainable textiles, fabrics, and clothing, and enticed her with the idea of Pokemon and what they can do.
She loses her vision in a car accident a bit after joining POKEGO, and trains a Furfrou to help assist her as a service animal. While researching Pokemon to see if there are any who can produce sustainable fibers, she befriends a Sewaddle, who grows into a Leavanny that helps her continue to produce textiles and assist her research.
She hears about Kaisou through POKEGO and asks for a transfer since it seems easier to interact with the spirit realms and realms with Pokemon in them… Plus, she wouldn’t mind a change for a while, as she moves every few years to get fresh perspectives for her research. And, she received a mysterious letter with a postmark nearby (surprise it’s from Phainon, but she doesn’t realize it yet), and wanted to check it out.
AU Personality Differences: There aren’t too many, she’s still serious about her research. But she’s probably friendlier to people in general, as she doesn’t have to basically hide chess pieces from people in order to save the world.
Element: N/A for this moment
Purchased Powers: Extra Pokemon (Leavanny) = 3 pts
Goldweaver’s Threads = 4 pts: The Goldweaver’s threads work as a communication network and a way for Aglaea to ‘see’ what’s going on around her. She has to set them up herself, and they can carry conversations to her across them. Kind of like a spider and their web, and the vibrations being the information sent to her. In canon, it’s sort of a secret-not-secret network so Aglaea knows what’s going on around Okhema, in the city it’s a tool she uses to help her day-to-day life. (ooc: there will be warnings and permissions for her to actually know things from it involving other characters)
Garmentmakers = 4 pts: The Garmentmakers are Aglaea’s memosprite. They look like floating dress forms wearing clothes that look like Aglaea’s in canon. While they can be used for battle, at this time they’re only used as dress forms in her shop and home and float there wearing clothes. With the ability to battle, Garmentmaker can do a follow up attack to whoever Aglaea attacks, along with one character on either side of that target (with lightning damage). In Supreme Stance (after Aglaea uses her ultimate, summoning a sword out of the Garmentmaker) they can do a joint attack for additional damage.
